Young Americans are self-defined as alienated and disenfranchised from the political process. The grassroots organizations that exist tend to involve youngsters in ways that have little impact on the real world, such as mock voting and mock assemblies. Youth is occasionally heard directly through media specials, but these are usually one-time events. America's youth are capable of more. Future Voters of America provides a political home for young faces to do just that. Our student leaders involve themselves in the political process in a real and lasting way.

Our program enables youth to utilize powerful tools for leadership, such as skills in public speaking, debate, conflict resolution and public relations. The young leaders we work with learn to strategize, assess and take risks to accomplish their goals. Future Voters of America's program is a participatory and educational experience that builds a bridge between youth and American politics. Our great hope is to empower youth on a national level, promoting active citizenry and leadership in future voters across the country.
